Renovations to the Gabbadan Tavern

As we piece together the various components of gaelQuest, there’s been a fair amount of trial and error. For gamers and language learners alike, the opportunity to be part of an interactive community is essential. Therefore, these past two weeks, I’ve been spending most of my time redesigning and improving the forum experience by deploying and configuring BuddyPress.

This popular WordPress plugin supports activity streams, member profiles, friendship connections, and user groups. It offers enhanced multilingual support. Finally, it is compatible with GamiPress, a gamification solution we’re adding to help guide and reward users as they go through the steps of exploring, learning, and playing the game.
